Bring your volleyball gear — shoes, knee pads, athletic attire. All waivers and registration paperwork need to be completed by a parent or guardian before you arrive. Everything else is provided at the event.

None. If you earn an invitation to the Final, every expense is covered — travel, hotel, food, all of it. You earned your way here; we handle the rest. Coverage applies to the athlete only.

The 1% is fully owned and operated by Out of System. We're independent and privately operated. We may partner with other organizations from time to time, but we don't answer to any governing body.

Why are Futures Clinics invite-only?

The 1% is built to identify, train, and develop the most elite setters in the country, and that database grows and gets reevaluated every year. The application is how we do our homework ahead of each event and build the right group of freshmen and sophomores for that session. If your athlete doesn't get invited to one clinic, keep applying. New regional events run throughout the year, and there are more chances to be considered. Every junior is welcome to register directly for an Elite ID Combine when the time comes.

After every event, athletes receive a feedback form compiling all the information and evaluations from The 1% evaluation team on site that day.

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before your event are eligible for an 80% refund. If you cancel within 48 hours of the event, no refund is issued — no exceptions. Spots are limited, and we need adequate time to offer your place to another athlete. Please plan carefully before registering.

Every Elite ID Combine is staffed by six evaluators, led by a vetted, experienced coach with credibility in that specific market and paired with a current college setter. Every evaluator at every event uses the same standardized scoring rubric, so an athlete in Atlanta is being evaluated by the exact same criteria as an athlete in Los Angeles. That consistency is the whole point.

The program was founded by Joe Worsley, Gage Worsley, and Micah Ma'a, the founders of Out of System. Joe is a professional setter currently competing in Poland, back-to-back Best Setter in France's Ligue A, and 2025 French League MVP. Micah is a 2024 Paris Olympic bronze medalist. These aren't people who watched the game from the sideline and built a camp. They've played it at the highest level in the world, and that standard runs through everything The 1% does.

At The 1% Final, the evaluator room expands significantly. D1 All-Americans, professional players, and performance coaches are all involved across the five days.
