What Information We Collect
Information you give us directly
When you submit an application, register for an event, or contact us through the website, we collect information you provide — including athlete name, graduation year, height, club team, parent or guardian name, email address, and phone number. For Elite ID Combines and Futures Clinics, this also includes athletic performance data recorded during the event.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, ours collects basic technical data when you visit — including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time on site. This is standard web traffic data collected through cookies and similar tools. It is used to understand how the site is being used and to improve it. It is not sold or shared with third parties for advertising purposes.
Payment information
Registration fees are processed through Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or payment details on our servers. Stripe's privacy policy governs how that information is handled.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Process event registrations and communicate event details
Build and maintain athlete profiles in The 1% national database
Send program updates, event announcements, and invitations to athletes and families who have registered or opted in
Respond to inquiries submitted through the website
Improve the website and program experience
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties except as described below.
Information Sharing
We share information only in the following circumstances:
Service providers. We work with third-party platforms — including Jotform (registration forms), Stripe (payment processing), and email service providers — that help us operate the program. These providers receive only the information necessary to perform their function and are required to handle it securely.
Program staff. Lead Evaluators and program staff at each event receive athlete roster information relevant to that event. They do not receive financial information.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal request.
We do not share athlete evaluation data, composite scores, or profile information with college coaches, third-party recruiting platforms, or any external organizations without explicit consent.
Athletes and Minors
The 1% serves high school athletes, many of whom are under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. All registrations for minors are submitted by a parent or guardian, and by completing registration, the parent or guardian consents to the collection and use of their athlete's information as described in this policy.
If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, contact us at info@1percentcombine.com and we will delete it promptly.
Athlete Profiles and Database
Athletes who participate in Elite ID Combines receive a profile in The 1% national database. This profile includes measurable data, composite scores, evaluator notes, and video clips from their session. A version of this profile may be made available on the public-facing website. Parents or guardians who wish to limit or remove their athlete's public profile information may contact us at info@1percentcombine.com.
Video and Media
All combine and clinic sessions are recorded on video. Clips are used for athlete profiles, program documentation, and content distribution across The 1% and Out of System platforms. By registering for an event, participants (and their parent or guardian) consent to this recording and its use as described. A separate media release is included in the event registration agreements.
Your Rights and Choices
You can opt out of program email communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send. You may also contact us at info@1percentcombine.com to:
Request access to the personal information we hold about you or your athlete
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion of your information, subject to any legal or contractual obligations we may have to retain it
Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we collect from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we use industry-standard practices to protect your data.
